Welcome to the train shrine! It's kind of a long page lol but it's not as much as it seems!

The conrail GE B36-7 is a conrail (or CSX, or you could even say GE transportation if you care that much about it) train that was produced in the five years between 1980 and 1985, though i'm not too sure about how long it was running for. I can find some photos from the 90s and very early 2000s though so i'm guessing it stopped running a little after that. It sports a navy blue paint most of the time and usually CSX written large on the side. two-hundred thirty eight units were produced all but eight for north american railroads, those eight others for a Colombian coal mine. It's design is almost exactly the same (externally) as the model before it (The B30-7) The first four of it's predecessors were built for a railroad called The Cotton Belt or the St. louis southwestern railway. The GE B36-7 itself is a diesel-electric locomotive. It ran on the Santa Fe, Conrail, Cerrejon Coal Project (Colombia), seaboard system, southern railway, Southern Pacific Transportation Company, (and as previously mentioned) cotton belt railways.

This specific conrail is one of my all time favorites, I think it looks amazing during winter and autumn, but then again I think almost all trains do :)

Tobu Railway is a japanese railway that runs through the greater tokyo area and some parts of the Kantō region of japan. Some of their best locomotives (in my opinion) running from the early 80s to mid 2000s, the company still has a few EMUs running today though. Some of my favorite EMUs come from the express EMUs, steam locomotives, and commuter EMUs (EMU meaning electric multiple unit). Specific models are; 8000 series (commuter EMU), the 6000 and 6050 series (steam locomotives and expresses), and the Tobu 50000 series of steam locomotive commuter EMUs (you can find links to these models wiki pages further down this page). Many of the Tobu locomotives have been preserved, since many ran in the late 70s plenty are lost to time, but if you look you can still find them on displays. Some of the later trains from the early to mid 2000s have been given the name "Tobu Face Trains", I can't find much on why this is, but I assume its because some of the models from Tobu look a little like a face from the front, with the headlights a little far apart, on each side rather than directly next to eachother, or alternatively simply having one headlight.

I don't know japanese so I'm not quite sure about too much on this map, but I could pretty easily figure out that there's likely four main routes because of the color coding, I might get a chance to translate the map later though so I can hopefully figure out a little more on this.

Honourable Mention: Norfolk Southern

I don't know a whole lot about Norfolk's trains or routes, but I thought i'd mention them anyway since they are a recent favorite of mine.
